Darwin / Dundee

Darwin, sadly famous for its 2 total destructions during the last century, is the most northerly city in Australia and is the Northern Territory capital. The exotic climate gives it temperatures around 30-35°c all year with a very high humidity. During summertime, pouring rains slaughters on Darwin and make traffic complicated.

Although Darwin is in front of the ocean, bath is forbidden due to the high density of crocodiles and there are many injuries every years. Consequently,  you have to be careful at anytime, mostly during the night walks. To spot them, you need to have a flashlight and when the crocodile is enlightened we can sight 2 little red or yellow points shining in the dark.

The Mindil Beach Sunset Market is absolutely to do. There is mostly food but also some shows such as didgeridoo performances.

Further than Darwin, there is Dundee with sublime beaches. People from Darwin go there to relax during holidays. We stayed there for one week despite ourself. Indeed, we were stocked with the car on the beach. But fortunately, we met Jamie, an OZ guy that we couldn't thank enough, who helped us and invited us to stay in his place.

In Dundee, we saw dolphins from our bed on the car when we opened the trunk. It was magical. We also saw turtles tracks that went on beach to lay during nighttime but unfortunately we didn't see any turtles.
