MISSION BEACH

Mission Beach is a little seaside resort south of Cairns. Australian families go there during weekends and holidays to fish, to relax and to enjoy many rides around. Others activities such as skydiving are possible.

However, even if beautiful beaches border the city, it's impossible to swim except in one or two areas. Indeed, during the summer there are jellyfishes and at anytime there are crocodiles. So it's better not to go in the water...

Fortunately, a ferry exists to go to Dunk Island which is wonderful and offers treks to discover the flora and fauna of the island. Moreover, we can snorkel and enjoy a drink at the open bar.
